Introducing his new exploration - LES ZOZIOS - Laurent Millet leaves the surges and tides to settle the (almost) virgin surfaces of an apartment, open aviary for odd birds carrying a domesticated and free semiotic. For the rest, by investigating the modern-art basic signs Laurent Millet finds a new freedom. Considering these "post-it" casually used in the pictures, LES ZOZIOS declare the advent of an unprecedented aesthetic meditation method. Message becomes a layer and the picture takes back its timeless sign function, as a constantly-reinvented artistic alphabet . Around the ZOZIOS, time is no longer a matter of strong entropy but looks like a much subtler and random pulse. Light becomes the landscape and the gallery becomes a playground for the effervescent and unpredictable birds. Represetend by New-York and Paris galleries, Laurent Millet keeps on giving his talented dreamer eye without inflicting the distant and over-ceremonious position of his fellow artists. There is no gravity, but brightness is here.

A world is born - Laurent Millet makes us believe in worlds that only belong to him. Is it by using a piece of truth that he takes from the real world? (…). Because this really deals with a birth - Such a world can not be invented, such a world cannot be simply tinkered with trifle, it should spring up from somewhere and raise by itself with its own laws. Indeed, these laws are not self-willed, they do not come from a pure spirit free decision, no. Laurent Millet guesses them, discovers them, listens to them and then obeys them, revealing us the world-part he reports as a pattern-painter capturing a sensitive part of the world truth. This truth is then neither strong neither accomplished - as recognised and named shapes - it is genesis, motion, and witnesses the shapes life that deal with creation mystery, with every creation, with the invisible and continuous acting of the soul. That is finally why every construction has a sense that overcomes more or less the amount of the operations done; that is why every separated-acts production answers to the continuous motion of a spirit that acts outside to spray around him his inside order - an order that the spirit expresses by realising beings and numbers in the world. As each of our members respond to the same and never-ending need, as each tree-branch takes its origins from a unique and unpredictable faith, every construction is raising and, in the same time, our thought translation by continuous flow of discontinuous actions. Art, and self-construction art processes can be compared to Nature when they do not have predicted aims. That is how every artist follows the Nature work with his own technical averages.
